The SEE Programme Committee (PC) is now seeking content proposals from the community. Best regards, Gergana SEEDIG, the South Eastern European Dialogue on Internet Governance, is excited to announce its 8th annual meeting to be held on 6-7 November 2023 at WESPA Business and Lounge in Zagreb, Croatia. RIPE 87 Call for Local Hubs

Dear colleagues, We want to help people who can't join the next RIPE Meeting in person to participate in a more engaging way. Would you like to set up a space for participants to meet in your city? If yes, organise a Local Hub! Local Hubs are in-person gatherings that take place in parallel to the RIPE Meeting. They allow registered participants to watch the webcast of the RIPE Meeting, follow the discussions and participate online via chat, audio, or video. Best of all, they can network with other community members from their country, experience the community spirit, and discuss topics from a local perspective. If you'd like to host one, you can also expand the programme to hold additional debates around topics of the RIPE Meeting of particular interest to the local participants. Hi Mir, hi Niall, I heard back from EARN and they do want to host their anniversary the weekend before SEE 13. They need: - 30-60 hotel rooms - meeting room for Sat (20 Apr) afternoon + Sun (21 Apr) all day What level of involvement do you want us to have? - just forward the contact person of the SEE hotel to EARN (so they do everything themselves) - include EARN's requirements in our contract with the hotel, but forward EARN the invoice for their part (so they pay, but we help with the arrangements) - pay for the meeting room and/or catering as a gesture for them? (so we make arrangements and pay) Maybe we can have a discussion about this next week, since actually it might turn out to be beneficial for us (easier to get a hotel) if we can request from the hotel more bedrooms. I will invite Kajal to our call. Speaking of this, unfortunately I can't make our call Wednesday next week. Could Thursday (19 Oct) work? I see you are busy until 11:30. Dear SEE community - Now that summer break and vacation time are nearing their end and many of you have already returned to work or will do so soon, I would like to take the opportunity to make you aware that the nomination phase for the Rob Blokzijl Award is now open. It is to be awarded in November at the RIPE 87 meeting in Rome to an individual who has made an outstanding technical or operational contribution to Internet development in the RIPE region. Ideally, the person has also enabled and supported third parties in this regard. We don't get many applications from South East Europe, so I'd really like to encourage you to think if there is a not-for-profit project or initiative you'd like to start (or get support for).
