Dear colleagues,
Is your organisation interested in hosting the SEE 12 meeting on 23-24
April 2024?
As the event takes place outside the Netherlands, the RIPE NCC is
dependent on a local host to support the organisation and delivery. In
return, the host organisation can expect excellent visibility.
Find more information about hosting requirements for SEE 12 at:
https://www.ripe.net/participate/meetings/regional-meetings/see/see-12/call…
Interested? Please email seeurope(a)ripe.net *by 30 January 2023*
If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to write. We look
forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Gergana

RIPE Fellowship
----------------
Having participants with diverse backgrounds, expertise, opinions and
experiences enriches the RIPE community. With the RIPE Fellowship, we
aim to create opportunities for individuals from underrepresented
regions, minority backgrounds, or others who would otherwise be unable
to attend without funding, to participate in the RIPE Meetings.
The RIPE Fellowship covers the cost of a meeting ticket, travel and
accommodation for successful candidates in the RIPE NCC service region.

*The application deadline is Tuesday, 11 September 2023.*

CFP

And finally, if you do not qualify for these grants, you can still
propose a talk or a workshop at https://ripe87.ripe.net/cfp/
RIPE 87 will be a hybrid meeting, so both in-person and remote
presentations are encouraged and will be accepted.

While I'm the coordinator for the RACI programme, Vesna is responsible
for the Fellowship. If you have any questions (or suggestions) on either
initiatives, feel free to reach out directly to us.
As we often mention, SEE region is still underrepresented within the
RIPE community so please consider applying or spreading this message
among your network to help us reach as many new people as possible.
Thank you!
Kind regards,
Jelena Cosic
Dear SEE community -
Now that summer break and vacation time are nearing their end and many
of you have already returned to work or will do so soon, I would like to
take the opportunity to make you aware that the nomination phase for the
Rob Blokzijl Award is now open.
It is to be awarded in November at the RIPE 87 meeting in Rome to an
individual who has made an outstanding technical or operational
contribution to Internet development in the RIPE region.
Ideally, the person has also enabled and supported third parties in this
regard.
I therefore would like to urge everyone here to check out the further
details of the call for nominations at:
https://rob-blokzijl-foundation.org/2023/08/08/call-for-nominations-2023-aw…
and to consider whom they could or would like to nominate - several
nominations per nominator are also welcome, of course.
The committee
(https://rob-blokzijl-foundation.org/2023/06/01/2023-award-committee-2/)
invites suggestions to be sent to:
<nominations(a)rob-blokzijl-foundation.org>
The deadline for submissions is October 29, 2023, 23:59 UTC. The Rob
Blokzijl Award committee members can't be nominated, of course! :)
Best regards,
Jan Žorž
(for the "2023 Rob Blokzijl Award" committee)
