Dear colleagues, The eighth South East Europe (SEE 8) RIPE NCC Regional Meeting took place in Sarajevo, earlier this year on 16-17 April. This meeting brought together 156 people from 19 countries. Thank you again to everyone who helped make SEE 8 a successful event, particularly UTIC and CRA, the local hosts. Tomorrow: Internet Governance Webinar + SEEDIG Registration Deadline

Hi all, Most of you have probably heard about SEEDIG by now (the Internet governance event for South East Europe taking place on 7-8 May in Bucharest). This is a reminder that they are closing registrations for the event tomorrow. You can expect sessions on cybersecurity, trust in digital technologies, technical developments (NOGs, IXPs, v4), 5G, challenges of online content, the future of work and more. The event is free of charge, so if you have interest, register to attend here: https://seedig.net If you are wondering what Internet governance is all about, RIPE NCC is organising a free webinar tomorrow at 11 CET! SINOG 6.0 meeting in Slovenia

Dear SEE community, Go6 Institute and the SINOG Program Committee in cooperation with Arnes and LTFE is organizing an annual meeting of network experts and the Internet community - SINOG 6.0. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Technology Park Ljubljana (Technology park 19, Ljubljana, Building B) starting at 9 am. There will be lectures by domestic and foreign experts on general networking topics, such as administration and configuration of network infrastructure and services, network and service automation, secure internet architecture, secure peering ... You will be able to share experience and knowledge with world renowned speakers such as Ben Ryall (Facebook), Ivan Pepelnjak, Susan Forney (Hurricane Electric), Hisham Ibrahim (RIPE NCC), Pete Stevens (Mythic Beasts) and other renowned home experts. Dear all, SEEDIG, which is the regional Internet governance initiative for SEE, has launched their yearly survey. It is intended to capture the perception of the SEE community on aspects related to the impact of advanced technologies – such as artificial intelligence and robotics – on the world of work. It only takes 5 minutes to fill.
