RIPE 89 Student Event: The Czech Internet Community in Focus

Dear colleagues, In less than a month, RIPE NCC will be hosting another RIPE meeting and this time around we're heading to the beautiful city of Prague, Czech Republic! The dates are October 28 - November 1; registration for the meeting is still open and a draft agenda is published with the final version coming soon. For more details, check the official page: https://ripe89.ripe.net Pre-RIPE 89 Online student event On Monday October 14 (17:00 - 18:30 UTC+2), NCC will organise a free online event aimed at people currently studying in the fields of networking, computer science, internet governance and other fields relevant to the RIPE community. The goal is to introduce them to the RIPE Community, encourage them to participate at the RIPE Meeting (in-person or online) and provide them with tips on how to make the most out of it. In this edition, we are putting a spotlight on the Czech Internet community and their remarkable contributions to building a stable, robust, and resilient Internet. We prepared a great agenda featuring excellent speakers who will share their firsthand experiences in founding, managing, and supporting critical infrastructure projects and initiatives in Czechia. As we are targeting undergrad and master students, the speakers will keep the content relatively high-level and focused on the importance of strong communities. We especially encourage students from Czech universities to apply, but the offer is extended to all. Hi all, Please joins us for the next Internet Measurement Day (IMD), which will take place at the JW Marriott Grand Hotel in Bucharest on 1 October. You can register for free at: https://www.ripe.net/s/imd-romania2024-register The event is organised by the RIPE NCC and ICANN in cooperation with INTERLAN and is open to everyone. You will hear about various Internet measurement tools and systems developed and used by the technical community. These include RIPE Atlas, Identifier Technology Health Indicators (ITHI), Resource Public Key Infrastructure (RPKI), and Routing Information Service (RIS). Special attention will also be paid to RIPEstat, a large-scale information service and the open data platform of the RIPE NCC. We will also make available RIPE Atlas probes.
