LLDP Support for RIPE Probes

Hi everybody, I would like to see LLDP support in the future on the RIPE probes. It would be a really helpful feature, to see on what Port the RIPE Probe resides at the moment. Cheers, Annika

Is this really necessary? The MAC address can be viewed from your ripe account which you can then use in conjunction with the mac address table. On 22 December 2015 at 13:21, Annika Wickert <annikaw@penguinfriends.org> wrote:

For bigger networks it is necessary because not everyone of our network team has an RIPE account or access to LIR so I cannot share the information of the probe. And it's always good for automatic documentation. On 22/12/15 14:23, Alistair Mackenzie wrote:

That makes a bit more sense than how I interpreted it. My bad, sorry! On 22 December 2015 at 13:25, Annika Wickert <annikaw@penguinfriends.org> wrote:

awesome idea. another useful feature would be to let the probe share via the atlas portal what device and port it's connected to. To the owner alone, that is. /Rickard On Tuesday, 22 December 2015, Max Gebert <max@gwebs.se> wrote:

Dear All, Thank you for this suggestion, we put this feature on our agenda as a requested item. We'll do some internal check on what it would take to implement this, and report back to you about ETAs. Regards, Robert On 2015-12-23 0:10, Marco Slater wrote:
