This sounds good, Trevor! If you can essentially extend these conversations beyond this list WITHOUT canabalising it (i.e., making it redundant), then I think it would add a lot of value given what you said :-) I especially like the idea of triggering an email to the Atlas list! Thanks Michael.
1. User notifications are not implemented at the moment but one could imagine the site cross posting to the mailing list, or allowing users to receive an email directly when a new project is added. I'd also considered allowing donors to Auto Donate to any new added projects, though this would likely require that the site store API Keys which I'm hoping to avoid.
2. My hope is that by having projects visible publicly, the audience for these network measurement projects would be broadened outside of just the mailing list - folks can more easily share the details on their social media pages or in email to colleagues. Project owners can post updates on their project page. I'm hoping that this can encourage credit recipients to more easily share results. Something that could be possible is tying specific Measurements to Projects so that folks can see concretely what the credits were used for.
Much appreciate the feedback!

Hi Trevor,
Thank you for this!
A few thoughts:
1. Is there any way to get notifications when someone posts?
2. Regardless if so, one nice thing about sharing on the list is that we can then learn about the projects people are doing (and they can share results).
It's a good idea, but is it solving a problem we actually have?
Warm regards, -Michael

Hi all,
Credit requests often appear on this mailing list. I've built Atlas Relay [0] as a small open-source site where researchers can post those requests so donors can find and fill them.
- Researchers sign in with GitHub or Microsoft and post a project with a credit goal. They can update project details and post results as their measurements progress. - Donors transfer on atlas.ripe.net as usual, or paste a transfer-only API key that the site uses once and discards.
This site isn't affiliated with the RIPE NCC. It's just a hobby project I've been tinkering with after reading this mailing list and being a probe host for a decade. Every transfer happens in RIPE Atlas, and the site never holds credits or stores keys.
The code is at [1]. I'd welcome feedback, particularly around user experience and whether this helps researchers and donors. Looking forward to see who will be first!
