Dear colleagues, A new RIPE Policy Proposal, 2023-02, "Minimum Size for IPv4 Temporary Assignments" is now available for discussion. This policy proposal recommends setting the minimum assignment size for temporary assignments to a /24 while still allowing for a smaller assignment if requested by the End User. This policy proposal also allows routing requirements to justify the request for more than a /24 for research purposes. Dear colleagues, A new RIPE Policy Proposal, 2023-01, "Reducing IXP IPv4 assignment default size to a /26" is now available for discussion. The goal of this proposal is to extend the lifetime of the IXP IPv4 address pool and to motivate IXPs to implement the exchange of IPv4 routing information over IPv6. Dear colleagues, The policy proposal 2022-02, "Remove mandatory IPv4 PA assignment registration in the RIPE Database” has been withdrawn. The goal of this proposal was to change the registration of IPv4 assignments from mandatory to optional. The goal of this proposal was to allow the publication of verified Personal Data in the RIPE Database only when justified by its purpose. Dear colleagues, Policy proposal 2022-01, "Personal Data in the RIPE Database", is now in the Review Phase. The goal of this proposal is to allow the publication of verified Personal Data in the RIPE Database only when they are justified by its purpose. The proposal has been updated to version 3.0 after the last round of discussion. This version differs from version 2.0 as follows: - it is not explicitly proscribed to enter the name of a person in role objects - the verification of fax numbers is not required The RIPE NCC has prepared an impact analysis on this latest proposal version to support the community’s discussion. Dear colleagues, RIPE policy proposal 2022-01, "Personal Data in the RIPE Database" is now available for discussion again. The goal of this proposal is to allow the publication of verified Personal Data in the RIPE Database only when they are justified by its purpose. This proposal has been updated following the last round of discussion and is now at version 2.0.
