New Standard Service Agreement

[Apologies for duplicate emails] Dear Colleagues, At the recent RIPE NCC General Meeting held on 3 November 2011, the members voted to adopt the proposed new RIPE NCC Standard Service Agreement (SSA). This makes the old SSA obsolete. The following documents have been updated to incorporate the new SSA: - ripe-541, "Closure of LIR and deregistration of Internet Number Resources". The term 'Contributors' has been replaced by the term 'Members', all references to the RIPE NCC Standard Terms and Conditions have been removed and sections A.1.2.1 and A.1.2.2 have been amended according to article 9.4.h-j of the new SSA: http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ripe-541 - ripe-539. "Clearing House Procedure". The term 'Contributors' has been replaced by the term 'Members' and all references to the RIPE NCC Standard Terms and Conditions have been removed: http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ripe-539 - ripe-540, "RPKI Certification Practice Statement". RIPE NCC RPKI Validator 2.0 released

We are proud to announce the release of the RIPE NCC RPKI Validator 2.0. This is a comprehensive open-source toolset for Resource Certification (RPKI) validation, enabling network operators to make better routing decisions based on RPKI data. LIR Portal Security Advisory

Dear colleagues, There is currently a security issue with the RIPE NCC Access sign-on system when used in combination with the LIR Portal. The issue relates to previous login credentials being applied to current users. There is therefore a small chance that a user will arrive at a previous user's login session. The issue only occurs when the same machine and the same browser session is used to log in to the LIR Portal. In the meantime, to ensure this issue does not occur, please quit your browser after logging out of the LIR Portal. We will notify you as soon as the issue is resolved. 128.0.0.0/16 configured as martians in some routers

Dear Colleagues, The RIPE NCC is aware that 128.0.0.0/16 is configured as a martian by default in (some) Juniper OS, even though RFC 5735 and RFC3330 outline that this /16 should no longer be reserved as specialised address space. All allocations that were already issued have been exchanged and for now we will hold this space in quarantine. We urge everyone to change the default behaviour of their Juniper routers: set routing-options martians 128.0.0.0/16 orlonger allow set routing-options martians 191.255.0.0/16 orlonger allow set routing-options martians 223.255.255.0/24 exact allow 128.0.0.0/16 has been added to the RIPE NCC's Debogonising Project: http://www.ris.ripe.net/debogon/ To facilitate testing, the following prefixes are being announced: prefix pinagble address 128.0.0.0/16 128.0.0.1 128.0.8.0/21 128.0.8.1 128.0.24.0/24 128.0.24.1 Best regards, Alex Le Heux Policy Implementation Co-ordinator RIPE NCC
