Dear RIPE NCC members, On 22 August 2026, we will perform an upgrade to Alfresco in production. Alfresco is our document management system, which is used to store all member-related documentation. The application will be unavailable from 08:00 to 20:00 (UTC+2) on 22 August. During this time, it will not be possible to use Alfresco, or to complete the following actions: - Membership applications - Resource transfers - Resource requests - Merger & Acquisition requests - Any other actions for which a ticket is created, as this depends on Alfresco being available The upgrade is a necessary step to bring the application up-to-date and mitigate vulnerabilities and security risks. Please be aware that unexpected patching can cause a delay in the application becoming available again. We have therefore picked a weekend to complete the upgrade to allow for overrun if needed. In the event of a rollback, we will update this post to notify users and schedule the upgrade for another time. Be aware that the upgrade has been completed in two other environments without issue, so a rollback is not expected. We appreciate your patience as we make updates to the application. Dear colleagues, This is a call for nominations to fill one seat on the Number Resource Organization Number Council (NRO NC). This seat will be filled by appointment by the RIPE NCC Executive Board. We encourage those interested to familiarise themselves with the work of the NRO NC, and to reach out to current or former NRO NC members to understand the workload and responsibilities involved. Dear RIPE NCC members, The RIPE NCC Strategy 2027-31 is now available. The document has been approved by the RIPE NCC Executive Board with input from our membership. This is the second five-year strategy that the RIPE NCC has published, with our previous strategy covering the years 2022-26. This strategy builds upon our existing vision, mission and values and sets the long-term direction for the organisation. The document explains RIPE NCC’s role in the Internet ecosystem, sets out six strategic focus areas for the coming five-year period and the external factors that influence our operating environment. It also covers objectives at the service-level that will guide the development of our services and operations. The plans for each year will be available in detail in the Activity Plan and Budget. Dear colleagues, The RIPE NCC General Meeting May 2026 took place from 20-22 May 2026. A total of 3,049 votes were cast. The resolution and election results are as follows: Resolution 1: "The General Meeting discharges the Executive Board with regard to its actions as they appear from the Annual Report 2025 and Financial Report 2025." The resolution was approved. Resolution 2: “The General Meeting adopts the RIPE NCC Financial Report 2025.” The resolution was approved. Resolution 3: “The General Meeting adopts the RIPE NCC Charging Scheme Model A.” The following three candidates were elected to the RIPE NCC Executive Board: - Raymond Jetten - Maria Häll - Lars-Johan Liman A full voting report is available at: https://www.ripe.net/membership/gm/meetings/may-2026/voting-report/ Congratulations to Raymond, Maria and Lars-Johan on their election to the RIPE NCC Executive Board. [GM] Extending Registration Deadline for General Meeting

Dear members, From approximately 12:40 to 13:30 UTC+1, members experienced issues with logging into the LIR Portal and therefore with registering for the General Meeting which takes place today at 16:00 UTC+1. https://status.ripe.net/incidents/tspgrn7zc03z We have now resolved the issues with accessing the LIR Portal. To give members the time they need, we are extending the registration deadline to 15:00 UTC+1 to ensure they have time to complete their registration. Those members who are registered in time will receive a link to the voting software before voting is opened at the end of the GM at approximately 18:00 UTC+1.
