We are a sponsoring LIR for other company and that company seems to want to terminate the agreement - that is perfectly fine with us however they seem a bit... lost. Thus a question arises - what is the procedure if they do terminate agreement with us but neglect to get another LIR to sponsor them? Hi, I guess that also depends on the status of the resource(s). If the resource(s) status is/are LEGACY, if i'm not mistaken the services provided by RIPE NCC related to that resource would revert to the point before the agreement was established with the sponsoring LIR. This is what i read from: https://www.ripe.net/publications/docs/ripe-639#2-7-lapse-of-relationship-or... "2.7 Lapse of relationship or agreement In case a relationship or agreement as described above in sections 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, or 2.5 has lapsed, the RIPE NCC may refuse to continue to provide, in support of each legacy resource involved, any service element which was not being provided immediately before the establishment of the relationship or agreement which has lapsed." I know that there is an additional charge of around 50 Euro for each allocated resource such as AS number etc, but I wanted to ask if there is any other fees related to becoming a sponsoring LIR? No formal cost from the RIPE NCC. Of course the time spent on the paperwork between you and your customer, and you and the NCC, is not "free" - but the NCC won't *charge* you for anything. As of now, AS numbers do not cost a yearly fee (to my dismay) only IPv4 PI and IPv6 PI networks. Gert Doering -- NetMaster -- have you enabled IPv6 on something today...?
