Dear ENUM WG colleagues, the following email has reached the Co-Chairs from Joakim Stralmark of PTS, the Swedish Telecommunications Regulator. And although quite some data is available at: http://www.enumdata.org/ we agreed that presenting his set of questions to the broader audience of this Working Group might help to gather even more and more accurate data on this. Our intention is just to make an overview figure there the different domains for “ENUM” are shown, both for “User ENUM” and “Infrastructure ENUM” (in the figure green means public DNS and red means private DNS). We understand that the RIPE ENUM WG might have a good understanding of the present status of “ENUM” around the world. We have questions around this topic in relation to our enclosed figure: 1. How many countries are _active_ in “User-ENUM” for domains <CC>.e164.arpa? 2. How many countries are _active_ in some form of national “Infrastructure-ENUM” in some non-e164.arpa domains (e.g. the US CC1 ENUM LLC with e164enum.us domain or the DE-CIX in Germany)? 3. How many federations (like GSMA Path-Finder with e164enum.net domain) are you aware of in the international or national arena (e.g. XConnect, NetNumber)? 4. Are there any countries doing business in the IETF suggested domain ie164.arpa for “Infrastructure-ENUM”? Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
