Hi Øystein Whoever told you that is mistaken. If you type "-v role" in the web query form it shows you the allowed syntax for a ROLE object's "nic-hdl:" attribute:
From 2 to 4 characters optionally followed by up to 6 digits optionally followed by a source specification. The first digit must not be "0". Source specification starts with "-" followed by source name up to 9-character length. So you can set any Nic Handle you wish as long as it follows these rules and it doesn't already exist and has never existed (they cannot be reused after deletion). cheersdenis
