Dear BCOP community, There is a possibility for BCOP TF to meet at RIPE84 in Berlin if there's interest from the community and we have at least 2 or 3 items on the agenda. We did not meet during online meetings as we felt that this TF should meet in-person and discuss how we can help each other document bect operational practices together - and now it's time again. Any ideas, proposals, work in progress? Maybe we should also discuss how to document best practices in building resilient network infrastructure that would work well during natural disasters or during the war... Cheers, Benno and Jan RIPE BCOP TF chairs
Hi Jan,
Maybe we should also discuss how to document best practices in building resilient network infrastructure that would work well during natural disasters or during the war…
This is a great idea! There are several issues surrounding this that may be interesting to discuss as well: - what are the most important parts of the network to protect - how to do that for each separate part - how to manage spares & logistics in time of crisis Cheers, Sander

Great! I suspect that we should give you a slot to elaborate more on this idea @BCOP TF meeting in Berlin. Would this work for you? Cheers and thnx, Jan

Hi everyone, Interestingly enough, I've been updating a folder with resources I've compiled on this topic. It's not super extensive or diverse per se, but it might give us a starting point to work with. You can view it at: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1b316VmkcbW7bJbgkd9ZNLVGv1EpGLomL?usp... Hi Jan, ...i agree, and i equaly suggest that someone from the Global NOG Alliance (GNA) shares GNA's experience in collecting some needed hardwares or network/system equipements to replace those which are being destroyed...in order to increase the desired Internet's resiliency. ...imho, It might be also usefull to document: 1] how to support those infrastructure afterwards & 2] what not to do for that purpose. Shalom, --sb.
Cheers and thnx, Jan

Dear Sylvian, Thank you for suggestion! I'll try to find someone from the GNA team to talk about that ;) Great suggestion!!! Cheers, Jan
That is a great idea! I won't be able to attend but I can contribute with anything that is shared online. We all fight, in different degrees, a daily war for the survival of our networks and there's a lot of apocryphal knowledge that should be shared.
