Thanks to those who replied to my request for input on certain action items from RIPE-32. Here is the position on these action items. TLD-32.2 (DNS-SEC) No registries have advised me of plans to implement DNS-SEC. A couple have indicated that guidance from DNS-WG would be welcome. TLD-32.3 ( (planned) registry use of RIPE database code) Four additional registries have indicated actual or anticipated use of the RIPE database code. With the indications given at RIPE-32, this brings the total to nine registries using or considering using the code. Best regards, Niall O'Reilly RIPE TLD-WG Chair On 24 Feb 99, at 21:47, Niall O'Reilly wrote:
Among the actions from RIPE 32 are the following two for which I need input from TLD registries so that I can relay the information to the other working groups involved.
Please let me know your plans and requirements.
If you wish, you may of course reply to me directly. I'll summarize for the other working groups, and copy the TLD-WG and CENTR lists.
TLD-32.2 [Chair] Determine DNS-SEC plans and need for support from DNS-WG
DNS-WG wishes to be made aware of TLD registry plans and whether there is a demand for guidance from DNS-WG.
TLD-32.3 [Chair] Advise DB-WG of number of registries planning to use RIPE whois code
Of the 8 TLD registries represented at the RIPE 32 TLD-WG session, 5 indicated that they intended to use the RIPE whois code, perhaps with local adaptations. Please will other registries let me know if they have the same plan.
Thanks
