New on RIPE Labs - How many RIPE NCC ASN holders use RIPE Routing Registry?
[apologies for duplicates] Dear colleagues, It is often claimed that the Internet Routing Registry is not accurate and complete enough. Is this really the case? In a new article on RIPE Labs, we look at how many organisations that receive an Autonomous System Number from the RIPE NCC use the RIPE Routing Registry: https://labs.ripe.net/Members/mirjam/interesting-graph-how-complete-is-the-r... The next step will be to find out how accurate this information is. Kind Regards, Mirjam Kuehne RIPE NCC
====BT: Thanx for this Mirjam, this is an important topic which we'll be keen to exchange ideas/views and needs at RENATER. I guess at least all those connected to (and/or managing) an IXP should be concerned. It reminds me an old software (built up by Tony Bates when he was working at the NCC -long ago ...) allowing to "trace" for a given ASN within the DB. Then you could check how it matches with the real routing life ... useful to know how "accurate this information is" as you said, isn't it ? Cheers, +Bernard T. --- Mirjam Kuehne a écrit :

The weekly routing table report seems to have gone missing from 24th December 2010 for four weeks. Anyone know where it can be found? Tom Petch

http://thyme.apnic.net/ is the homepage, the daily data is at http://thyme.apnic.net/ap-data. Sorry about the "gone missing" - that was cron deciding to start its job running 4 minutes late, meaning that the timestamp didn't match the posting conditions, so it didn't go out to the list. :-( philip --

Thanks for that; I have found the data on the web site. I had always imagined that the weekly report was in some way a collation of the seven days but now it seems like just the data for a single day. Tom Petch
