Hi around, can anyone of you point me to statistics about the frequency of BGP updates measured at some point in the internet? A customer complained about av. 10 updates per second which we consider normal, but we'd like to see values for comparison. Thanks Karsten
Karsten,

For the RIS, the number of updates (both per peer and per RRC) can be found at: http://www.ris.ripe.net/risreport/ with a description of the plots at: http://www.ris.ripe.net/risreport/risreportdsc.html This lists some 200 peering sessions.
