a really great job by jac and the surfers. i have sent a message to nordunet and am very confident that they will be responsive. since renater seems not to care enough to clean up their mess, and they have been asked many many times, imiho, the ncc should just delete the over-reaching ROA(s). randy

Thanks for this! Are more people willing to look into their traffic patterns and do a similar analysis? I would be very interested in the results.

I also sent a message to nordunet to fix stuff before publishing this article.

Hi,

I'd be happy to publish similar analysis on RIPE Labs. Could be useful for others to have it all in one place. Kind regards, Mirjam Kuehne RIPE NCC

make it easy, give them a tool.

they're on it. it is their test space, which confuses them a bit.

I wish I could.. there is no single tool in which this analysis can be done. I can provide a step-by-step guide for what I did if people are willing to do the same analysis.

We're touching the delicate area of aggregation and de-aggregation here. Hopefully the sponsoring-LIR construction can also aid in certifying resources from more specific routes from a different AS than the AS where the aggregeted route is announced from.
