I definitely second this. But then, since when does anything coming from the InterNIC/ARIN database make much sense? If all databases in the world were as useful as RIPE and RAdb... I aggree strongly with Christian! I also think that at least official Internet Registries should be able to fetch information from their databases if the information is not found from the first database! Regards, Jarmo

We are working on that problem. It is harder than you think and the problems are not all technical. But since all registries need to do serious imnplementation work soon there is hope. Daniel

For those people that are playing or want to play with the ISI RIPE based server for RPSL: I have build in automatic referral support in case a NIC handle, domain or AS# cannot be found in the local copy/mirror of the database. This referral mechanism is not perfect but makes the information that you get back more useful then it used to be...
