I've been looking over the 'advisory' attribute, mostly in preparation for the upcoming RIPE-181 to RPSL conversion (RPSL does not have this attribute).

I'm not sure if this field is anyway obsolete right now. You are right - the advisory attribute *is* obsolete - so no need to further look into it, Shane. I definitely do not want to see it replicated into RPSL ;-)
