Hi Hank, This looks like AS_PATH poisoning (see the 174 3257 12956 3356 6762 3320 5511 6453 on the fake path) generated by one AS that is listed in Spamhaus DROP (26561), that was propagated by 58212, and somehow following a "research friendly" chain of ASes got to some route collector where you saw it. I am too lazy to check where and how many peers actually saw it, but depending on the number of peers actually seeing it it could be "fake news" :) Hopefully ASPA will fix this since it is getting harder and harder to have a trust-based BGP.
