Hi nusenu,

Mirjam Kuehne:
We are launching a prototype called RIS Live, a feed that offers BGP
messages in real time. It collects information from the RIS Route
Collectors (RRCs) and uses a WebSocket JSON API to monitor and detect
routing events around the world.

Please find more details on RIPE Labs:

Thanks a lot for creating and providing this service!

Are there any plans to make use of this data source in rpki-validator as an
opt-in real-time BGP data source instead of using the RIS dumps that happen every
8 hours?

kind regards,
nusenu

At the moment we don’t have this on our roadmap, but we will investigate if we can have riswhois.ripe.net (where this data comes from)
work with 'near-real-time’ data behind the looking-glass for the validator. Not any time soon though, I’m afraid.

Thanks,
Nathalie
