Before anyone freaks out, I'd like to make sure the numbers are correct here. I really don't think we added 625 network routes last week. I don't have the exact number, but I can find out. Last weeks report said we withdrew 500 or so routes. This was indeed wrong. We do aggregate. We have a block which we assign to our customers. Most of them choose a CIDR network. We have incentives for them to do it. We do get the occasional customer who wants to route their network. However, I doubt it is 625. I will check. Our CIDR policy is public and I have discussed it with many people in bgpd. If the reports are based on a routing table dump at a given location on the Internet every week and compared to last weeks dump of routes, then a nicely timed event could skew the stats. mf

PSI -- if you won't aggregate your routes we will drop peering with you and will have ANS to proxy-aggregate your blocks. I think Alternet people will do the same.
