RIPE 79 Routing WG session - important information

Dear Working Group, TL;DR: If you are interested to present on somethign Routing, reach out to us ASAP! In about 16 days we'll have the opportunity to gather in the beatiful city of Rotterdam, Netherlands and teach each other neat things about routing. During the Routing WG slot we can focus on all aspects of IP Routing, routing security, new technologies and new applications of current technologies. This is the stuff Internet is made of! :-) The process to put together this upcoming session's programme is a bit unusual, we've learned that unfortunately some key volunteers are unable to participate this RIPE meeting; as a result Hans Petter Holen asked myself and Rob Evans to help put together a programme. I'm excited to help out, I hope we'll be successful in putting something educational together even though we're operating on fairly short notice. If you have something you’d like to talk about, please send ideas to job(a)ntt.net, rob.evans(a)jisc.ac.uk, along with whether the talk is brief (5-10 minutes) or longer (25-30 minutes including discussion). Rob and I will also go through the archive of presentation proposals submitted to routing-wg-chairs(a)ripe.net, we will analyse the backlog and reach out to the submitters with feedback on their proposal. Dear Routing WG, My company has couple of prefixes (listed at the bottom of this e-mail) that are advertised via ASN 1787 to China Telecom (ASN 4809) and China Unicom (ASN 4837). Unfortunately this is not something I could see in BGPlay. I would assume this is because there is no route collector in China. 2018-06 Review Phase (RIPE NCC IRR Database Non-Authoritative Route Object Clean-up)

Dear colleagues, Policy proposal 2018-06, "RIPE NCC IRR Database Non-Authoritative Route Object Clean-up", is now in the Review Phase. The goal of the proposal is to delete an non-authoritative object stored in the RIPE IRR, if it conflicts with an RPKI ROA. The proposal has been updated following the last round of discussion and is now at version v3.0. Some of the differences from version v2.0 include: - Provides details about the process how to identify and solve conflicts The RIPE NCC has prepared an impact analysis on this latest proposal version to support the community’s discussion. You can find the full proposal and impact analysis at: https://www.ripe.net/participate/policies/proposals/2018-06 And the draft documents at: https://www.ripe.net/participate/policies/proposals/2018-06/draft As per the RIPE Policy Development Process (PDP), the purpose of this four week Review Phase is to continue discussion of the proposal, taking the impact analysis into consideration, and to review the full draft RIPE Policy Document. At the end of the Review Phase, the Working Group (WG) Chairs will determine whether the WG has reached rough consensus. It is therefore important to provide your opinion, even if it is simply a restatement of your input from the previous phase.
