Anyone have more details about this? https://belsat.eu/en/news/runet-founder-under-house-arrest/ The Czech company that allagedly received the allegedly stolen 7.5 "B" blocks (/16) would seem to be this one: ORG-RCS23-RIPE AS15731 https://www.ripe.net/membership/indices/data/cz.relcom.html But I am not seeing that ORG as having quite that many IPv4 addresses assigned. Maybe the alleged perp in this case only stole IPv6 addresses (?) Regards, rfg

So on > that regards, I wouldn't mind if the proposal would be dropped. first, as $subject says, if anywhere, this should be in the routing wg. let us resist the inclination to make what was the anti spam wg the net police, judge, and jury. on the proposal itself, i am of two minds. while i see negligible initial harm, it's not clear it will do a lot of good. and i see your point about the slippery slope of mission creep. i do find it amusing that it uses the singular case where an ROV origin can not be 'usefully' forged. i.e. the attacker can not postpend AS 0 and have it accepted. but this cute factor still does not sell the proposal to me. randy

Hello Erik, The Discussion Phase for 2019-08 ended on 29 November (note that this proposal is being discussed in the Routing WG). The proposers and WG chairs have agreed that this can continue to the Review Phase with some updates to incorporate the community's input from the initial Discussion Phase. When we receive this updated version, we will prepare our impact analysis of the proposal. The Review Phase will begin once we publish both of these documents. Dear all, Friday, here in Brazil, the RPKI was enabled. We have published our ROAs and are being validated in several places but we found a divergence. When we query our AS on this link [1] it appears to be valid but when we query our AS on this link [2], it appears as unknown. Is there any difference between the tools that might be causing this? For the moment, I only wish to say that the investigation undertaken by myself and Jan Vermeulen is ongoing, and that many others are provably involved. Of course, this being a RIPE mailing list, many of you will feel that this situation in the AFRINIC region has nothing at all to do with the RIPE region. On that score, alas, you would be wrong. That sad fact is most succintly illustruated by the data at the following link: https://bgp.he.net/net/196.16.0.0/14 Please note that whereas the registrant organization for AS202425 is, on paper, registered in the Seychelles Islands, much evidence suggests that it is actually owned and operated by one or two gentlemen who are themselves quite clearly located in the Netherlands.
