Would it be possible to add current total number of rispeers somewhere in the leading comments? [whois -h riswhois.ripe.net 193.17.41.2] I would like to create script for automatic queries of riswhois and (IMHO) total number of contributing ris-peers would be handy for filtering out "local routes". e.g. ignore route to AS mappings reported by less tha half of ris-peers -- Andrzej [en:Andrew] Adam Filip anfi(a)priv.onet.pl anfi(a)xl.wp.pl All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing -- Edmund Burke (1729-1797)

There will be a brief outage of both rrc00.ripe.net and www.ris.ripe.net later this afternoon (starting approx. 12:00 UTC). This will return both machines to their original location following temporary relocation on Tuesday afternoon in order to allow work on the building power supply to take place yesterday. As on Tuesday, this will result in a sort period when the RIS web site will be unavailable and BGP peering sessions (and associated collection of raw BGP data) with rrc00 will be down. We are now ready to peer with PAIX members. We would like to thank Paul Vixie and ISC for their help. RRC14, has been operating since December 2004. It has an interface on the shared PAIX network and runs both IPv4 and IPv6. It collects routing information from all exchange members who peer with us. - Our peering addresses are: IPv4: 198.32.176.6 IPv6: 3ffe:80a::9 - Our AS number is: 12654 - Our policy: http://www.ripe.net/projects/ris/docs/rrc14.html The Routing Information Service (RIS) started as a RIPE NCC project in 1999.
