Hi folks, LINX members are starting to do multicast now that the BBC is making their content available across the LINX multicast exchange. It might be interesting to make the RIPE52 feeds available too. I wonder how practical it would be... Apart from the mcast routing, I guess we just need a unicast->multicast application that readdresses UDP packets and something to serve up an SDP page over HTTP. Or if your equipment generates multicast we could just set up an ipip tunnel. What data rates do you provide? Regards, Chris - LINX

We're not planning to provide multicast for RIPE 52 however if you'd take our unicast stream and would like to provide multicast, we'd be happy with that.

The data-rates are: Audio: 12000b/s Video1: 8256b/s Video2: 81256b/s Video3: 206256b/s Regards, Willem-Jan Goudsblom - RIPE NCC Operations
