The RIPE Chair Team Reports - March 2025

Dear colleagues, In this new update we report on preparations for RIPE 90 and other topics and events that keep the community busy this month: https://labs.ripe.net/author/mirjam_kuhne/the-ripe-chair-team-reports-march-... Kind regards, Mirjam Kühne RIPE Chair

Dear colleagues, On 19 Mar 2025, at 16:34, Mirjam Kuehne announced the latest edition of the RIPE Chair Team Report:
https://labs.ripe.net/author/mirjam_kuhne/the-ripe-chair-team-reports-march-...
in which she mentioned that the call for nominations for the next RIPE Chair Team is still open until the end of the month. I have been delighted to have had both the privilege of being the junior member of the RIPE Chair Team since September 2020, and the pleasure of working with Mirjam. However, on grounds both of age and of available energy, I believe it inappropriate for me to be nominated as a potential member of the next RIPE Chair Team. I encourage every potential nominee for the RIPE Chair Selection Process not to hesitate, as the RIPE NomCom needs a rich pool of nominees in order to do their job well. Best wishes to the RIPE NomCom for their work. Niall O'Reilly

Thank you so much for your service to the RIPE Community! I hope you will still attend RIPE meetings in the future. Your presence and discussions are always inspirational.

I would like to eco the thanks of Sander formally on the list for your service to the RIPE Community, not just as RIPE Vice Chair but as an on-going participant at RIPE meetings and community events, etc for the whole time that I have been coming to RIPE since 2013. I hope you will continue to attend and contribute but understand your decision to pass the baton! Niall is not finished yet! RIPE91 will be the time to thank him. So I suggest that we all prepare thoroughly for that occasion. Daniel

Dear colleagues,
Mirjam, Would it be possible to distribute some of the actual content of the report in the email body itself, instead emailing a hyperlink around? RIPE NCC distributes the members update inside the email body, an example is here: https://mailman.ripe.net/archives/list/ncc-announce@ripe.net/thread/XXQIXYSO... To me RIPE NCC's approach for disseminating information seems more productive than the current approach. I don't mind if there is a link in the email "click here to read the report on the web!"... Kind regards, Job

Thanks for the suggestion, Job. I’ll see how best to do that next time. Kind regards, Mirjam On Mon, May 12, 2025 at 18:07, Job Snijders <job@sobornost.net> wrote:
