Extended Last Call for Draft: NRO NC Election Process (v4)
Dear colleagues, Since version 3 of the Number Resource Organization Number Council (NRO NC) Election Document was published [1], we received a suggestion to add another criterion to the candidate eligibility: "having attended at least three previous RIPE meetings". This was supported by others on the list. The new version (under section 3. Candidate Eligibility) now reads: "Any individual residing within the RIPE NCC service region, who has participated in at least three RIPE Meetings, is eligible for nomination, except Regional Internet Registry (RIR) staff members. Self-nominations are permitted." This is therefore another LAST CALL for comments for this final version of the document [2], to expire on Monday, 20 November at 06:00 UTC. Please note that in the meantime, the call for nominations for the NRO NC has ended. Hence, the above change to the candidate eligibility criteria will only apply for future elections. Kind regards, Mirjam Kühne RIPE Chair ===== [1] Announcing Updated NRO NC Election Process (v3) https://www.ripe.net/ripe/mail/archives/ripe-list/2023-October/003020.html [2] Updated NRO NC Election Process (v4) https://www.ripe.net/publications/docs/ripe-documents/other-documents/draft-...

looks sensible to me randy
Hi,
"Any individual residing within the RIPE NCC service region, who has participated in at least three RIPE Meetings, is eligible for nomination, except Regional Internet Registry (RIR) staff members. Self-nominations are permitted.”
That seems very sensible. As long as wel don’t overly restrict it by demanding on-site participation I’m fine with this. Cheers, Sander
Yes, good point, not restricting to on-site. Also not restricting to the very last “n” meetings. Regards, Jordi @jordipalet

I too think this now looks good. Thanks for fixing! Cheers, /Liman
