Tools for managing IP address space
Hallo, does anybody of you use some tool to managed IP address space in a classless environment for a bigger organization? Any tips welcome. Regards, Willi Huber
Hi Willi, I have a tool for the allocation of address space from our CIDR blocks in a classless way. I also have a tool to split up a 'class C' reverse zone for delegation as 16 /28s. It's fairly trivial stuff but it's used by our installations engineers. You're welcome to look at them. They do use some perl libraries which I think may be private but you can see anything I wrote. If you're interested, let me know. On Fri, 19 Jul 1996, Willi Huber wrote:

Willi have you seen Nigel Titley's 'tree' programme - it might be what you want. Find it at ftp://ftp.bt.net/networking/tools/tree/tree-2.1.5.tar.Z Cheers. Mike

Thanks a lot for that. This tool is simple but simply great. Far better than small pieces of paper all around my desk :) Thanks again. Regards. -- -- David Ponzone - ISDnet - Network Administrator -- Work: +33 1 34 65 78 86 Pager: 06 41 82 45 Cell: 02 61 21 63 Email: david@isdnet.net
