It did not.. First, most users does not seem to have a proper 'on-ramp' to the network, both including HW and SW. In theory the users of Sunet (Swedish University Network) aggregates up at well above 5*34M, but it seems like the university local network at the campus level is a bottleneck. All routers that does not have enough buffer memory generate packet drops.. Last, the US infrastructure in no better either.. Sigh.. I think it will last another month, I hope.. 622Mbit/s inside Sweden next.. --Peter (And no cell's....)
