Hello, as some of you might know, Internet Talk Radio, a ~ 30 min. radio program distributed over the Internet is about to start in a couple of days. Internet Talk Radio ist distributed in a coordinated manner, distribution starting at uunet. For Europe, EUnet is the primary spooler. I plan to install a secondary spooler in every country interested. More than one secondary spooler per country will only be installed in exceptional cases. Tertiary spooler will get the data from the secondary in its country. In order to give wide open access to the files, secondary spooler have to give the files at least to interested service providers in his country. Aside of this, secondary and tertiary spooler may give away the files to anyone they want. EUnet already has set up a distribution mechanism to cover some part of Europe. Appended you will find a list of secondary spoolers. If you are living in one of this countries, you may approach the secondary spooler or me directly to be registered as a tertiary. If your country isn't on the list, you can approach me directly to get registered as a secondary spooler. Spooling from mcsun.EU.net will be done via fsp, a ftp like program allowing transfer of files UDP based. Access lists on mcsun.EU.net will limit access to the files via fsp to registered secondary spoolers. Secondary spooler may consider to give access to the files to tertiaries via fsp, too. fsp can be obtained from several servers, one of them ftp.Germany.EU.net:~ftp/pub/network/inet/fsp. I'll forward a mail from Carl Malamud telling a little bit more about Internet Talk Radio to the RIPE list. If you are interested in becoming a secondary or tertiary spooler, pls send the completed template to me. The first program is expected to be in Europe on March 29th. Air date of the program is March 31st. Secondary and tertiary spooler may get the files prior to air date, but are not allowed to give it away to others before the air date. More information, on how to get the files from mcsun.EU.net will be sent to the secondary spooler at the end of this week.
