Dear all, I'd like to cordially invite you and your colleagues to a BoF session I am organising as part of RIPE81 on *Monday*, *26 October*, from *14:00*-*15:00* *CET* (UTC+1). The session draws on a post <https://labs.ripe.net/Members/michael_oghia/you-ve-got-the-power-sustainable-procurement-and-the-ripe-community> I authored for RIPE Labs over the summer, and aims to highlight how the RIPE community can contribute to a more sustainable Internet via decisions regarding buying hardware and sourcing services (procurement). It intends to gather interest and feedback from the community on the topic, and based on that discussion and the feedback received, potentially form a working group to write a document with more practical guidelines for operators (similar to ripe-554 <https://www.ripe.net/publications/docs/ripe-554> for IPv6). I'm also happy to announce that Peter Pawlicki, the Director of Outreach and Education at Electronics Watch, will join as well to offer additional insights and expertise. In case you or any of your colleagues manage your organisation's procurement process, please do forward this to them. More information about the session is available here <https://ripe81.ripe.net/programme/meeting-plan/bof/>. And don't hesitate to reach out directly if you have any questions. Best, -Michael Oghia
