I'm not sure whether it's clear that the RIPE chair is the boss, or whether the community is the boss and the chair is their servant. Regardless, it seems abundantly clear that broad authority has been granted to the RIPE chair, as documented in RIPE-714. We could debate who has delegated that authority but I'm not sure why it matters. The authority of the RIPE chair exists, has been documented and has been and continues to be exercised. In the sense that consensus was achieved on RIPE-714, the community has accepted it. Any argument to the contrary is really separate from the discussion in this thread since it concerns far more fundamental governance issues than the PDP. Joe
