The RARE Technical Committee (RTC) has proposed that RARE will act as a focal point for gathering and distributing information on initiatives and projects amongst it's member organisations and European industrial partners - thus facilitating liaisons between parties with complementary and/or similar projects/initiativ es. It is RARE's intention that this eill lead to a number of consortia, (NOT including RARE), for pan-European projects that include research and academic institutions in collaboration with industry. It is expected that these consortia will submit proposals to the EC IVth Framework Telematics for Research programme.
