The discussion has now come to an end. There has been no
comments to the latest version during the more than four weeks
since the discussion at the RIPE meeting.
It is time for me to call for consensus on
The Chair Selection Process
This phase will be for another four weeks to end on 4 August.
This consensus call is about the normative part of the document. As
indicated in the drafts itself some appendices still need to be written
and some other non-normative parts like the IETF copyright are still to
be completed.
The RIPE NCC board has a role in the process.
I raised this point at the last board meeting, and
the RIPE NCC Executive Board noted its willingness to
take on that role described in the process.
Once the RIPE Chair election procedure will be adopted by the
community, I expect that the RIPE NCC Executive Board will pass a
formal resolution to accept their role in the process.
