However, there were only 81 people on the list, 33 amongst them from the RIPE NCC, that is roughly 40 percent. Dear All,
Yes the NCC is getting bigger and we want the staff to meet the customers. Ofcourse this does not mean that we will all be at the meeting all the time. NCC operations have to continue too. Yes people usually register very late for RIPE meetings. Last time a very large number did not pre-register at all. This caused a lot of extra work and a lot of extra money. Therefore we encourage all of you to pre-register and pre-pay so that we can save this money and have a more efficient registration process. We will still have to see whether this is working. HINT HINT! Experience of others (NANOG, IETF, APRICOT) shows however that it helps.
What I should have to pay anyhow, if I would be able to persuade my boss(es ) to sign my travel form without presenting them a complete meeting plan, as I do not have credit card, and check and banktransfer is not accepted, and on-site paying penalized.
What additional information would you need to convince your bosses?
Hope to see you sometimes, somewhere,
I hope to see you at the meeting. Daniel
