Hello community, I’m Ph. D. Student at University de Liège, Belgium, and I’m conducting a survey as part of my researches on Segment Routing (SR) traffic engineering practices among network operators. We have a technique, called ArEST, allowing us to discriminate SR-MPLS and regular MPLS traffic. So if you have something to say about the Internet, but don’t usually get the opportunity to attend RIPE Meetings, this is a great way to get involved. Call for Public Comments on the 2025 IANA Performance Matrix Summary Report

In the same year, the IANA Numbering Services Review Committee (IANA RC) was established. The IANA RC is composed of representatives from each RIR region and advises and assists the RIRs in the review and evaluation of the IANA Numbering Services. The operational delivery of the IANA Numbering Services is currently performed by Public Technical Identifiers (PTI). PTI publishes detailed monthly performance reports, which are available on the IANA Numbering Services website: https://www.iana.org/performance/numbers Based on these monthly reports, the five RIRs have compiled the 2025 IANA Performance Matrix Summary Report: https://www.nro.net/wp-content/uploads/2025-IANA-Performance-Matrix.pdf 30-Day Public Comment Period The IANA RC is now opening a 30-day public comment period to seek input from the global Internet number community regarding the performance of the IANA Numbering Services and the findings contained in the 2025 IANA Performance Matrix Summary Report. Comments on IANA service performance should be submitted to: iana-performance [at] nro [dot] net The IANA RC will publish its annual report in March 2026 as formal advice to the NRO Executive Council. This report will be based on the Performance Matrix Summary Report and on the input received from the community during this consultation process. RIR Governance Document Version 2: Status Report Q1 2026

The report is available at: https://www.nro.net/rir-governance-document-version-2-status-report-q1-2026/ This report is a result of NRO NC workshop from 12 to 14 November in Montevideo to review the feedback received across the five RIR mailing lists, input via various webinars and online sessions, sessions held at RIR Meetings, community fora, engagement with ICANN communities and also via the ICANN Public Comment process. Following this review, the NRO NC concluded that while a large part of the document is in place, there are certain questions that warrant further discussion. This report lists “open” issues as well as those issues that received significantly more comments and the decisions made during the workshop based on feedback received. These issues will be addressed by updating the language in the final version. As work on the RIR Governance Document progresses, this status report highlights questions that are still under discussion and might be modified in the final version of the document. We encourage interested parties to review the status report and continue to monitor progress prior to the publication of the final draft which will advance to the RIRs and ICANN for approval and adoption [2]. We sincerely thank everyone who has shared their insights, and we appreciate the time, thought and effort put in by our respondents.
