_____________________________________________________________________ APNIC 54 Conference - Call for Papers _____________________________________________________________________ The APNIC Program Committee is seeking presentations for the APNIC 54 Conference in Singapore (13-15 September 2022). We are looking for content that would suit technical sessions, tutorials, lightning talks, and panel discussions. Please note, the program committee is working to early deadlines so the APNIC 54 conference program can be announced. Speakers may present on stage in Singapore or remotely. APNIC 54 conference registration is free for all, however speakers must fund their own travel if presenting in-person. Key Dates Call for Presentations Opens 20 May 2022 First Round Acceptance 10 June 2022 Final Deadline for Submissions 01 July 2022 Final Round Acceptance 29 July 2022 Topics for conference sessions must be relevant to Internet operations and technologies. For possible areas of topics and submission details, please visit: https://conference.apnic.net/54/program/call-for-papers/ Prospective presenters should note that the majority of speaking slots will be filled well before the final submission deadline. The PC will retain a limited number of slots up to the final submission deadline for presentations that are exceptionally timely, important, or of critical operational importance. Router-Based Path Selection

Dear RIPE community, My name is Cyrill Krähenbühl and I'm a PhD student in the network security group of ETH Zürich (https://netsec.ethz.ch). As part of my PhD, I'm working on a research project about path selection in path-aware networks. In particular, this project is focused on selecting paths based on the properties of the forwarding devices, i.e., routers, on a path. Part of the project is to investigate relevant path properties for various users of a path-aware network. I would highly appreciate feedback from members of the RIPE community, given their tremendous experience in this area. To capture the feedback, I created a short questionnaire (which should take less than 5 minutes to fill out), where you can give your opinion on which router properties are relevant for users of a path-aware network (from the perspective of a user and a network operator). RIPE Programme Committee Elections @ RIPE 84

Dear Friends and Colleagues, The RIPE Programme Committee is responsible for recruiting and selecting presentations for the RIPE Meeting Plenary sessions. As the term of two RIPE PC members end, we are looking for new members in Spring 2022 who will be elected by the RIPE community at RIPE 84. There are currently two seats up for election to the RIPE PC. Please send nominations, with a biography, statement of interest and photograph, to pc(a)ripe.net . The Charter of the RIPE Programme Committee ( https://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ripe-pc-charter) provides more information about the composition and roles of the RIPE PC. Nominations for the RIPE 84 PC elections can be sent in from today, Tuesday 10th May, until Tuesday 17th May, 15:30 CEST (UTC +2). We will announce the PC elections at the RIPE meeting opening sessions, but interested parties can nominate themselves from now. We will close candidate nominations on Tuesday 17th at 15:30 CEST and publish the biographies on the RIPE Meeting web site. The RIPE PC online voting system will be open from Tuesday 17th May, 16:00 CEST until Thursday 19th May, 17:00 CEST, for the community members to cast their votes. The total voting numbers may be public. Code of Conduct BoF at RIPE 84

Dear RIPE community, The Code of Conduct TF will be conducting a BoF session at RIPE 84. We will discuss important information about the Code of Conduct Team, including details about its recruitment and training procedures. Anyone interested in joining the Code of Conduct Team is encouraged to attend to learn more. Virtual participation via Meetecho will also be possible during the session. We also want to extend the call for feedback on the draft process document that we have published. How much authority should we delegate to the Code of Conduct Team—an advisory capacity, or a higher threshold? 2.
