Dear Colleagues, In line with its Bylaws, ICANN performs recurrent reviews of its organisation and working methods. A review of the ICANN Board is currently in progress and input from the addressing community to this effort would be much appreciated. The public comment period to the interim report of the ICANN Board Review Working Group is open until 17 April 2009. ASO Call for Comments on Nominees for ICANN Board Seat

[Apologies for duplicate emails] Dear Colleagues, Following a public nomination period that closed on 22 February 2009, the ASO Address Council (ASO AC) selected the final set of candidates to fill the ASO seat on the ICANN Board. This seat is currently held by Dave Wodelet, whose term expires in May 2009. The candidates are: - Jody Daniel Newman - Ray Plzak - Jordi Palet Martinez - Rajesh Chharia - Suzanne Woolf - Barry Shein The candidates listed above agree to serve in an ASO seat on the ICANN Board of Directors if selected by the ASO Address Council. In April 2009, the ASO AC will make its final selection to appoint one of these individuals to fill the ASO Board seat. To aid them in making their final selection, the ASO AC members request public comments and statements of support for the candidates. The public comment period will remain open until 23:59 (UTC) on 9 April 2009. You can provide your comments and statements of support for the candidates on the aso-announce mailing list. These will be publicly archived at: http://www.aso.icann.org/lists Alternatively, if you would prefer not to subscribe to that mailing list, you may submit your comments directly to the ASO AC Nominations Committee by sending an email to <nom-com(a)aso.icann.org>. This covers the full RIPE Meeting week. You will receive a EUR 50 discount if your payment is received before 17:00 UTC on Friday, 1 May 2009. Dear Colleagues, During the RIPE NCC's General Meeting in October 2008, members accepted the proposed "RIPE NCC Supporter Agreement" enabling non-members to show their support for the RIPE NCC. Any organisation or individual can become a RIPE NCC supporter. You do not have to be a member of the RIPE NCC to show your support. Supporters can attend General Meetings but do not have any voting rights and cannot request Internet number resources or related member services from the RIPE NCC. RIPE NCC service outage update, 17 December 2008

Dear Colleagues, Due to a loop problem in out layer 2 infrastructure starting from 11:20 UTC we experienced a high volume of traffic flooding the RIPE NCC network. That caused intermittent high packet loss and affected all our online services. The issue was resolved at 15:00 UTC. All services are back to normal. We apologise for the inconvenience.
