The petition from the ALAC representative in the ECA seeks reconsideration of the ICANN Board Resolutions of 19 May 2025 published at: https://www.icann.org/en/board-activities-and-meetings/materials/approved-r…, specifically: 1. The continued deferral of the ICANN Fourth Accountability and Transparency Review (otherwise known as ATRT4) pending community dialogue (the third bullet of Resolved 2025.05.19.02) (“Challenged Decision #1”); 2. The direction to the ICANN President and CEO or his designee(s) to initiate work to design a review program intended at enhancing ICANN’s accountability, transparency, and effectiveness (Resolved 2025.05.19.01) (“Challenged Decision #2”); and 3. RIPE NomCom 2025 - the selection result

Dear RIPE Community, The deliberation period for RIPE NomCom is now over, and we have the result. We had a set of high-quality nominees, and it was a tough choice between all of them. The RIPE NomCom selected Mirjam Kühne as RIPE Chair and Anna Wilson as RIPE Vice Chair. The selection result was declared and confirmed by unanimous consensus from the NomCom members, voting and non-voting. We selected Mirjam because the input from the community clearly favoured her. She is very widely regarded as someone who listens carefully to everyone and who helps the community to find consensus and move forward. It was also noted on numerous occasions that the community members are happy with her work as RIPE Chair. We selected Anna because of the positive input we received about her track record with the community. Mirjam and Anna also convinced us in separate discussions that they would work well as a team and complement each other. We would like to thank all other nominees for being prepared to serve the community and volunteering for the positions. Not being selected does not mean anything negative; it's just that the RIPE NomCom and the RIPE Community felt that Mirjam and Anna would be a better fit. The RIPE NCC Executive Board adopted a resolution stating that the RIPE NomCom 2025 followed the proper procedure. The minutes of meeting EB#184 are already published. New report published: the state of IPv4 and the transfer landscape

Dear colleagues, We've published the second in our series of IP reports <https://labs.ripe.net/author/anastasiya-pak/the-state-of-ipv4-and-the-evolv…> that explores the evolving role of IPv4 transfers as a mechanism for managing address space in a post-exhaustion environment, alongside broader trends in availability, pricing, and usage. The report also highlights the operational and policy context in which transfers occur and offers practical observations for those managing IP resources. The report draws together input gathered from a series of interviews - with network operators, ISPs, cloud providers, regulators and other industry experts - conducted in 2024 by an external consultancy (NEXOP). Insights gained over the course of those interviews are presented in the context of a broader analysis of RIPE NCC registry data. Concluding the Draft RIR Governance Document Consultation

This message is sent on behalf of the Number Resource Organization Number Council (NRO NC) ------------------------- The announcement is available at: https://www.nro.net/concluding-the-draft-rir-governance-document-consultati… ------------------------- Concluding the Draft RIR Governance Document Consultation The feedback period for the draft ‘Governance Document for the Recognition, Maintenance, and Derecognition of Regional Internet Registries’ (draft ‘RIR Governance Document’) has officially concluded [1]. The consultation was open from 14 April to 27 May 2025, and allowed participants to share their opinions on the proposed text and requirements as well as provide additional constructive comments [2]. Each RIR hosted at least one interactive informational session for their community during this period, where additional feedback may have been collected. Sessions were also hosted for ICANN communities, and an ICANN Public Comment process was held in parallel during the same period [3]. The list of the sessions held and links to their archives are available on the NRO website [4]. This process focuses on reviewing and updating the fundamental principles of Internet Coordination Policy-2 (ICP-2), a key document that defines the criteria for recognizing and evaluating RIRs [5]. The Number Resource Organization Number Council (NRO NC), that fulfils the role of the Address Supporting Organization Address Council (ASO AC), will discuss the feedback received from the RIR communities as well as the ICANN Public Comment process and use it to inform the next draft. The NRO NC will publish the next draft for review to the RIR and ICANN communities in the later months of 2025.
