Dear Matt, I have a question regarding new ticketing system. Some days ago I sent an email and attached a file to my message. I received a receipt of ticket, then the NCC staff member replied to my question and I received a mail that contain a previous email content and a weblink to the file I attached before. The link was active and I was able to download the file. The link points to https://ripencc.zendesk.com/attachments/token/blablabla/?name=filename. The problem I see is that ripencc.zendesk.com is a hostname on the server in a cloud, the network is assigned to an Irish company and it seems that the file storage is not under RIPE NCC's control. This hostname is not reachable over IPv6, but this is not the issue I wish to discuss now. Can you clarify whether e-mail attachments/archives at RIPE NCC are stored at the third party servers? Do you think it is acceptable? Although the meeting is mostly technical, it is also a chance for people to meet and network with others in their field. *RIPE 78 will take place from 20-24 May in Reykjavik, Iceland* The RIPE Programme Committee (PC) is now seeking content proposals from the RIPE community for the plenary sessions, BoFs (Birds of a Feather sessions), panels, workshops, tutorials and lightning talks at RIPE 78. At present, most working groups will solicit policy proposals, discussion points or other content directly via their mailing lists. Repeated audience feedback shows that the most successful talks focus on operational experience, research results, or case studies. For example, presenters wishing to describe a commercial solution should focus on the underlying technology and should not attempt a product demonstration. Presenters should indicate how much time they will require. CSNOG2 meeting: Brno, CZ 28-29 May 2019

Dear colleagues, A CSNOG Meeting is a community event where network operators, CDN operators, ISPs, domain registries and other interested parties get together. It is expected that the audience prefer to discuss technical issues and have a chance for talk to each other. We would encourage technical communities both from Czech Republic and Slovakia to join the meeting. The second CSNOG meeting will take place from 28-29 May in Brno, Czech Republic, the next week after RIPE Meeting. The CSNOG Programme Committee is looking for speakers for the plenary presentations, panels, workshops and tutorial sessions. The abstracts for plenary presentations, panels, workshops and tutorials should be submitted by 29th March 2019 to be considered as a part of programme. question on ripe document formatting standards

Hi all, I wanted to do some research into the ripe document series, but I could not find a repository which contains all ripe documents in one format. For instance the ripe FTP repo [0] contains some documents in plaintext (txt), and some in postscript (ps) and PDF (pdf). Initially I thought this was because the postscript and PDF files contained diagrams and/or tables and thus were harder to render in text (explicitly _not_ trying to start an ASCII art flame war here), but then there are documents such as ripe-74 which is only available in Postscript/PDF, but contains no diagrams. Later, roughly starting from 2006 onward and getting quite prevalent in 2014, there is a trend to almost solely post ripe documents as PDF files. Is there a document that outlines the formatting standard? Or is there another repository which contains all documents in plaintext? possible abuse case with our emails / spam from euromoney/capacitymedia

Hi all, Since a few days ago, I'm getting spam from Euromoney regarding their Capacity events. Note that I'm not trying to advertise them, but before proceeding with a formal complain to the Data Protection Agencies, I want to know if is an isolated case or a massive one in the RIPE community. After several complaints (they didn't respond initially and continued with the spam) and mail exchange, this company is ensuring me today (I copy literally): "This particular contact does not have any purchase or online registration, it was loaded as a prospect from Capacity Media as an attendee for a 3rd party event (RIPE)." A few minutes ago, I've already asked the NCC to confirm if they have provided our personal data, which I doubt, of course, but I want to know if others are getting the same spam, which will mean that they are abusing our mail exploders or something similar ...
