Dear colleagues,
Are you interested in hosting the RIPE 74 Meeting, from 15-19 May 2017?
We are searching for dependable organisations to help us host the RIPE
74 Meeting outside of the Netherlands. The host helps with Internet
connectivity, venue scouting, administrative and on-site support, and
assists in finding local sponsors. In return, the host organisation
enjoys excellent visibility among the RIPE community and the prestige of
hosting a RIPE Meeting.
Interested? Please find more information at:
https://www.ripe.net/ripe/meetings/ripe-meetings/ripe-74
You can send your proposal by 22 June 2015 to: meeting(a)ripe.net.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Gergana Petrova
Conference Coordinator

Dear colleagues,
Consistent with the ASO Memorandum of Understanding and ICANN Bylaws, the Address Supporting Organization Address Council (ASO AC) calls for nominations for Seat Number 10 on the ICANN Board of Directors.
Nominations will close at 23:59 UTC on Sunday, 13 December 2015.
The time frame for the selection process is as follows:
– Nomination Phase – 30 September 2015 to 13 December 2015
– Comment Phase – 14 December 2015 to 13 March 2016
– Interview Phase – 13 January 2016 to 13 March 2016
– Selection Process – 14 March 2016 to 4 April 2016
– Due Diligence Review – 5 April 2016 to 20 May 2016
– Announcement – Around 21 May 2016
The ICANN Bylaws state that no two directors selected by a Supporting Organization can come from the same geographic region. Because the ASO AC selection for Seat 9 is from the ARIN region, nominees for Seat 10 cannot also come from this region.
All candidates must sign a Letter of Certification declaring that they are of good character. The selected candidate will undergo an independent due diligence review by an ICANN contractor, and announcement of the candidate will follow once this review has been successfully completed.
Community members are invited to submit nominations by email to nominations2016 [at] aso [dot] icann [dot] org, including the following information:
– The full name of the person being nominated
– Contact email address for the person being nominated
– Contact telephone number (if available) of the person being nominated
– The full name of the person making the nomination
– Contact email address for the person making the nomination
– Contact telephone number of the person making the nomination
The election procedures are found in Section 7 of the ASO AC Operating Procedures, which are available at:

Dear colleagues,
Today the RIPE NCC is unveiling a fresh new look across its website and printed materials, at the heart of which is a new logo.
As the RIPE NCC has evolved over time, it became apparent that our old logo, which had not changed much for 20 years, no longer represented everything that the RIPE NCC is and all that we do. During this time, our visual identity was diluted and became scattered as we developed new services, tools and departments that each had their own look and feel. Finally, the old logo was difficult to work with and use across various printed and online media.
For these reasons, we decided it was time to update our look with a new design that is modern, easy to work with, and represents our core values, the community we represent, and the services we offer.
The new logo was rolled out across the www.ripe.net website earlier this morning and we invite you to take a look. The three hexagons reflect our function as a registry, the services we offer and our coordination role, with the community at the intersection. Also reflected are our core values of transparency, engagement and inclusiveness. If you’re interested in learning more about the background, design process and everything the logo represents, you can read about it in this RIPE Labs article:
https://labs.ripe.net/Members/miguel_bastos/the-ripe-nccs-new-look
The logos for all of our services and departments, from the RIPE Database to RIPE Atlas to Training Services, are now a variation of the main logo in order to strengthen our visual identity and make it clear that all of these offerings are provided by one organisation.
We hope you’ll be just as excited about our new look as we are.
Kind regards,
Serge Radovcic
