Dear Colleagues,
This is a final reminder that the comment period for nominees to the
ASO's ICANN Board seat closes at 18:00 UTC on 20 April 2007.
Following a public nomination period, the ASO Address Council (ASO AC)
selected the final set of candidates to fill the ASO seat on the ICANN
Board currently held by Raimundo Beca, whose term expires in June 2007.
The candidates are:
- Al-Din J. Kadhem Al-Radhi
- Smain Aouissi
- Raimundo Beca
- Vikram Gupta
- Jordi Palet Martinez
- Remco Van Mook
- Shahmeet Singh
- Kuo-Wei Wu
In May 2007, the ASO AC will make its final selection to appoint one of
these individuals to fill the ASO Board seat. To aid them in making
their final selection, the ASO AC members request your comments and
statements of support for these candidates.

the Marriott Grand Hotel in Moscow, Russia.
Presentations on region-specific issues play a central part in the
meeting agenda. Attendees can also meet with RIPE NCC staff and the
region's key industry players.

The presentations at this meeting are based on what you think are the
most important topics for your region. The agenda (see below) has spaces
reserved for presentations on issues affecting the local Internet
community. We need your help to complete it.

Dear Colleagues,
This is a call for the RIPE community to nominate individuals from the
RIPE NCC service region to serve on the Address Supporting Organization
(ASO) Address Council (AC).
Hans Petter Holen (Visma IT AS) vacates his seat on 31 December, ending
his three-year term.
Important
----------
The ASO Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) states that the public
nomination period should open 90 days in advance of the next open policy
meeting (RIPE 55) and close 30 days before the start of this meeting.
Due to an oversight in the RIPE NCC's administrative procedure, this
public nomination period was not announced to the RIPE community at the
scheduled time.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
If there are no objections from the community, we would like to proceed
with the nomination process as follows:
- 19 September: Nomination period opens
- 15 October: Nomination period closes
- 15 October: Complete Nomination list posted at:

- 25 October: Elections take place during the RIPE Address Policy
