We have this same challenge at ISC. I wanted to present our popular bind-users and dhcp-users mailing lists as a forum, to make it easier for casual users to scan for relevant information, and to provide better visibility for the frequent/most valued expert 'answer-writers.' We looked around a bit and found that there was nothing good available. We also use Mailman - if this is successful, would you consider sharing your software?
