Hi Atlas Friends, As part of our continuing improvements to the Atlas UI, we have just pushed a major reworking of the coverage and statistics page. Among the improvements: - Cleaner, simpler interface - Vastly improved loading time - Single map integrates layer toggles for connected, disconnected and percent coverage - Top ASNs / Prefixes / Countries section are now clickable pie charts allowing you to see items in relation to each other or the entirety - Reworked line charts for users, probes, anchors - As with other Atlas improvements, this is now completely client side (except for the API getting data) You can find the new page at https://atlas.ripe.net/coverage/ Hope you enjoy, please let us know what you think. Thanks! Stephen RIPE Atlas UI
Hi Stephen, it looks nice. But what means "Show Percent Coverage Layer"? Because of "Percent" I would expect a scale from 1 to 100. But you have different ranges of Probes (per Square Meter?) - at the Moment the range of 0-200 never exceeds. Regards, Thomas Am 15.11.23 um 12:32 schrieb Stephen Suess:

Hi Thomas, Thanks for the feedback. When you hover on a country you see a tooltip that displays (in addition to the number of probes) the percent of the total of probes. The legend gives you an idea (by color) of how many probes fall into each color range. Hope this clarifies. Kind regards, Stephen

Hi Stephen, for me, the tooltip always shows: whatevercountry 0 probes (0,00%) Tried with Firefox and Chrome. BR, Simon On 15.11.23 14:33, Stephen Suess wrote:

Hi Simon, I think I see why this might happen sometimes, when you first load the data the page might have a slight timing issue depending on network conditions. A simple page reload should fix this for you, and I will have a bug fix for this shortly, thanks for reporting it. Kind regards, Stephen

He Stephen, I can confirm! After a reload, it works. Also, all the countries now have different colors (they were all yellow before). Seems like Thomas Schäfer had the same problem. BR, Simon On 15.11.23 16:46, Stephen Suess wrote:

Great work! I have waited for a fully client side implementation for a long time. Now it works as quickly as one expects. Great work creates more work ;-): It is nice to see the percentage of global ASes and prefixes. It would be even nice to see percentages per (RIR service) region. Our goal has always been for good coverage in our service region. Daniel On 15-11-2023 12:32, Stephen Suess wrote:

Very nice. But from the RIPE perspective the more probes in a country the better, shouldn’t colors be different? Thus green = lots of coverage, red = almost no coverage? Now it is the other way around. Regards, Ernst J. Oud

Maybe this has changed since yesterday, but I see the coverage layer as different shades of blue (light blue: few probes; dark blue: lots of probes). Red and green are the disconnected and connected probes, respectively. hp -- _ | Peter J. Good morning, a few issues have now been fixed and rolled out: 1. The overlay map will now properly display data on the first page load 2. We got a report of and fixed a bug related to searching by ASN 3. We changed the color scheme on the overlay map to gradients of blue for a bit more clarity (rolled out yesterday) Regards, Stephen
