IPv4-only Anchors Now Supported
Dear colleagues, We've decided to support "IPv4-only" anchors in ASNs where IPv6 is not available. You can learn more in this RIPE Labs article: https://labs.ripe.net/Members/suzanne_taylor_muzzin/ipv4-only-ripe-atlas-anchors-now-supported?pk_campaign=labs&pk_kwd=list-atlas Regards, Robert Kisteleki RIPE NCC

Uh, what? It is not April first. Gert Doering -- NetMaster -- have you enabled IPv6 on something today...? SpaceNet AG Vorstand: Sebastian v. Bomhard Joseph-Dollinger-Bogen 14 Aufsichtsratsvors.: A. I think it would be useful if the Atlas UI automatically displayed Legacy IP Only <http://www.internetsociety.org/deploy360/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/legacy-ip-only.jpg> logos next to all such anchors, such that users can easily be aware of such limitations. As a long-time Atlas user, where do I file a feature request? :-)
where do i file a feature requenst for anchors with ipv6 to display "connectivity may suck?" randy

the article says "However, we will only support IPv4-only anchors hosted in ASNs that cannot announce IPv6 for technical reasons.". Could the NCC share examples (respectfully anonymized) of such _technical_ (as opposed to "technical") reasons? -Peter

anything in Iran probably falls into this category. There are no real technical reasons left for not supporting ipv6, only policy reasons. Nick
