Hi, Question: does the Atlas-probe obey to the 'option ntp-servers' DHCP option? If not, mine could be into trouble, since I don't allow outbound NTP-requests. (Sorry if this has been asked before, I am new to this list and haven't found the archive just yet) Regards, -- Marco
Hi Marco, currently the probes use a static ntp server configuration; tt01.ripe.net. It don't use that dchp option. However, the option ntp-servers is an interesting one to try. Thanks for the tip. The probes also receive a time indications from the ncc servers. So if the ntp fails it will use these indications. The latest firmware should be able to keep a decent time O(1) even if the ntp fails. And it seems to work so far. If your probe still has a large time skew please drop a mail to atlas@ripe.net; I am curious to hear. regards, -antony On Tue, Dec 07, 2010 at 12:41:31PM +0100, Marco Davids (SIDN) wrote:
