Hi again, My number keeps going up. Looks like whenever a probe gets disconnected for some other reason, it is not able to connect back to the system. And my earlier count was too low already. It seems e-mail notifications aren't sent reliably. At least I didn't get one for some probes that are definitely down longer than the timeout configured (mostly default of 30 minutes). Cheers, R. Shortly after I posted this message, my second sample went offline as well. Today I received emails saying they were reconnected. Just now I got another email saying the samples are disconnected again. A suggestion from me: Maybe adjust the email template a bit: If it’s a controller issue, add a note saying, 2The problem isn’t on your end, but on ours. We’re working on a solution." or something like that. On Fri, 5 Jun 2026 22:14:45 +0000 Marek Küthe via ripe-atlas <ripe-atlas@ripe.net> wrote:

Weird. I received a disconnect email an hour ago for my probe 1005072 and in the Atlas GUI indeed it shows as disconnected but it is happily reporting results for all built-in measurements and my measurement 85299016. Also my probe 1009782 disconnected an hour ago (and indeed does not report results) without any email status message. So not all is well. Regards, Ernst J. Oud

Another thought on the template: The "Status" tab on a probe's page no longer seems to exist, so it cannot give more details about why the probe disconnected, and the corresponding URL redirects to the probe's generic "Overview" tab. 07.06.2026 22:24:04 Marek Küthe via ripe-atlas <ripe-atlas@ripe.net>:
