They already exist (SamKnows, Grenouille, Bismark) so what's the point? Whether you endorse it or not, it happens. Stephane, while we are not ready to open-source RIPE Atlas we are very interested to cooperate with initiatives like this provided that the data gathered is shared for the benefit of the RIPE community. Of course such cooperation can very well include transfer or exchange of technology. But we have to be sure that the RIPE community benefits from the cooperation.
