Test the respond-time of services like DNS and http. Maybe even checking the reply.
The probe firmware can do that already :-) The problem with DNS is that switching would break the historical continuity (for the measurements of the DNS root servers). For UDM, it depends on when there is time to add more features. Enabling http in UDM has a security risk, so that will take even more time.
